Wayne Mark Rooney (born 24 October 1985) is an English footballer who currently plays as a striker for English Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
Rooney began his career with Everton, joining their youth team at age ten and rising through the ranks. He made his professional debut in 2002 and his first goal made him the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at the time. He quickly became part of Everton's first team, spending two seasons at the Merseyside club. Before the start of the 200405 season, he moved to Manchester United for ?25.6million and became a key member of the first team. Since then, he has won the Premier League twice, the 200708 UEFA Champions League and also the Football League Cup.
Rooney made his England debut in 2003 and at Euro 2004 he briefly became the competition's youngest goalscorer. He is frequently picked for the England squad and also featured in the 2006 World Cup.

Early life
Born on 24 October 1985 in Croxteth, Liverpool, Merseyside, Rooney is the first child of Thomas Wayne and Jeanette Marie Rooney (n Morrey).[dead link] He was raised in Croxteth with younger brothers Graeme and John, and all three attended De La Salle School. Wayne grew up supporting local club Everton, and his childhood hero was Duncan Ferguson.
Club career
Everton
After excelling for Liverpool Schoolboys and Dynamo Brownwings, Everton signed Rooney on schoolboy terms at the age of ten. He was part of the youth squad, and after scoring in an FA Youth Cup match, he revealed a T-shirt under his jersey that read, "Once a Blue, always a Blue." Since he was underage at the time and therefore ineligible for a professional contract, he was playing for ?80 a week and living with his family on one of the country's council estates.
On 19 October 2002, five days before his seventeenth birthday, Rooney scored a match-winning goal against reigning league champions Arsenal; in addition to ending Arsenal's thirty-match unbeaten run, it made Rooney the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history, a record that has since been surpassed twice by James Milner and currently James Vaughan. He was named BBC Sports' 2002-03 Young Personality of the Year.
At the end of the 2003-04 season, Rooney, citing Everton's inability to challenge for European competition, requested a transfer that Everton refused to oblige if the transfer fee was less than ?50million. A three-year, ?12,000-a-week contract offer from the club was snubbed by Rooney's agent in August 2004, leaving Manchester United and Newcastle United F.C. to compete for his signature. The Times reported that Newcastle were close to signing Rooney for ?18.5million, as confirmed by Rooney's agent, but Manchester United ultimately won the bidding war and Rooney signed at the end of the month after a ?25.6million deal with Everton was reached. It marked the most expensive transfer for a teenaged player ever, at the time of the signing.
On 1 September 2006, Everton manager David Moyes sued Rooney for libel after the tabloid newspaper The Daily Mail published excerpts from Rooney's 2006 autobiography that accused the coach of leaking Rooney's reasons for leaving the club to the press. The case was settled out of court for ?500,000 on 3 June 2008, and Rooney apologized to Moyes for "false claims" he had made in the book regarding the matter.

A rugby shirt, often referred to as a jersey, is a shirt worn by players of rugby league or rugby union. It usually has short sleeves, though long sleeves are common as well.
Rugby shirts have a buttoned opening at the top, in a similar style to polo shirts but with a stiffer collar. Modern rugby shirts often have a very small collar so as to provide less material for a potential tackler to latch onto (even though such an action is illegal in a game). Rugby shirts traditionally have rubber buttons so that they would, if pulled on in a game, come undone rather than pop off.
Rugby shirts, like most sports jerseys, will usually have a logo on the chest and a number on the back, though shirts not meant for competitive play will usually forgo the number. Labels of sponsorship are common, and generally appear on the abdominal area of the shirt. A traditional design of rugby shirt consists of five or six horizontal stripes or "hoops" in alternating colours. A number of football teams have adopted this pattern, such as Queens Park Rangers and Parma A.C.. Football shirts by contrast traditionally have vertical stripes.
Rugby shirts were traditionally made out of cotton, but as synthetic fabrics became cheaper they have become incorporated into rugby shirts. The two most common materials are a mix between cotton and polyester (many of these shirts are meant for supporter use, though they can be used in a rugby game), and pure polyester (these shirts are generally designed for game use).
The reason for the preference of polyester in a game situation is two-fold: firstly, polyester is harder to get hold of in a tackle situation, as it is inherently more 'slippy' than cotton or a cotton-blend. In addition, the increasing use of skin tight shirts further enhances this effect, as there is no loose material for a tackler to get a grip of. The other benefit of man-made fibre over cotton is that it absorbs less water and mud. As rugby is a sport played mainly in winter and/or bad weather, a cotton rugby kit can weigh around 6 to 8 lb (2.73.6 kg) when wet. This extra weight has to be carried by the player, in addition to running in wet, heavy ground.
Rugby league shirts often have a large 'V' around the neck, however more and more teams are embracing the rounded collarless design. The "V" tradition appears to have been started because shirts with a 'V' were cheaper than other shirts, Rugby league shirts also tend to be more colourful and extravagant in design when compared to rugby union shirts.
The extravagant colours and design of rugby league shirts are most probably a product of modern day professional football, which has been a part of rugby league's culture for far longer than rugby union's. Rugby league shirts or jerseys as they are often called may hold less tradition than rugby union shirts. This holds more truth among the fully professional rugby league clubs in the National Rugby League who often change the shirt design every year or two to encourage fans to purchase the latest shirt design. However, rugby league clubs are now going back to the clubs' roots in terms of design (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles being an example), while clubs like the Sydney Roosters, South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons do not change their main jersey design.
The rugby shirt has, in numerous cultures, become a popular fashion item, with many clothing manufacturers producting rugby styles shirts, with the distinctive collar and hooped or squared design, which do not represent an actual club.

v?d?e
In the law of contracts, the mirror image rule states that an offer must be accepted exactly without modifications. The offeror is the master of his own offer. An attempt to accept the offer on different terms instead creates a counter-offer, and this constitutes a rejection of the original offer. (Restatement(2d) Contracts 59).
In the United States, this rule has been altered with respect to merchants dealing in the sale of goods under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC Section 2-207). In such situations, an acceptance that does not match the terms of the offer is nonetheless effective as long as the material terms are agreed upon. Example: Marty the T-shirt printer(merchant) offers to make and sell 1,000 yellow T-Shirts with "Bring the Ruckus" on the back for $100 to Vinny of Vincent's Shirt Barn(merchant). Vinny accepts the offer and writes change to "Bring da Ruckus" on the back of the invoice. This constitutes acceptance and the contract will be enforceable in spite of the alteration because the change is immaterial and both are merchants. The changed or additional terms in the acceptance will become part of an agreement between merchants unless the offer limits acceptance to the terms of the offer (e.g.,'no substitutions'), the terms materially alter the offer, or the other party objects to the new terms within a reasonable time. (UCC 2-207 (2)(a)-(c)). When both parties are not merchants but the transaction is covered by the UCC (for example, when Vinny agrees to sell t-shirts to a customer), then any additional terms will be proposals for addition to the contract but will not automatically become a part of the bargain. (UCC 2-207(2)).
